Passing your driving test is a big achievement, but if you want to improve your driving further and save money on your car insurance you should consider taking the Pass Plus course.
Studies have indicated that new drivers aged between 17 and 25 are at a greater risk of having an accident that could result in an injury or even death. For this reason the Pass Plus Training Scheme was introduced. Targeted at newly qualified drivers who have little driving experience and want to gain confidence in order to improve their driving ability under the watch of a driving instructor.

The Pass Plus scheme has been put together by the DVSA in joint effort with insurance companies. The Pass Plus course will allow drivers who complete the Pass Plus scheme savings on their car insurance. Your Pass Plus trainer will then give you a list of insurers that take part in the Pass Plus scheme.
It is recommended that new drivers complete the Pass Plus in the first year of passing their driving test even though there is no time limit on when you complete the Pass Plus.
